Once a physician is referred to the Physicians Health Program, his contact details and information being reported are captured and stored by the system. This information is categorized using a unique identifier specified by the user. Every step in the referral process is displayed as a separate screen on the referral form and is only activated when all the milestones in the previous step are entered. The system provides constant feedback to prevent duplicate or erroneous entries. Prior to evaluation and treatment the system automatically generates an evaluation/treatment contract which can be printed and mailed to the participant. Received documents can be stored in the system in any of the approved formats and may be viewed at any time.

When a physician is referred for monitoring, the contract is auto generated based on preferences selected by the user. Details about the different types of modalities, the treating professionals, visit and reporting schedules can be entered into the system. The system auto generates a package of monthly report documents for the physician to give to his treating professionals. These reports when received by the user may be scanned in to the system and used for further analysis. The homepage shows a summary of which reports are due today or due this month. This gives the user the opportunity to take necessary action in the case of overdue reports.

Physicians are searchable by their names. Each Physician form shows a summary his corresponding referral/s, monitoring contract/s, reports pending, medication prescribed and status release requests.  Each item in this form may be selected to view the entire details. New medication and new status release requests may be entered into the system from this form.

The system is integrated with Outlook and allows the user to view contacts in Outlook, create/change appointments, tasks and send emails from this program. Contacts if present in Outlook may be imported into the system. The system keeps the changes made for a contact in sync with Outlook.

System has a built in reporting mechanism which is fully customizable. It allows for professional looking reports which show different status information. Facility to specify different criteria for generating reports is also available.
